MIAMI-DADE BEACON COUNCIL
In 2020, GenoSUR was recognized by the Miami-Dade Beacon Council for its COVID-19 testing efforts in the community and was also honored to receive the Keys to Miami-Dade County. Founded in 1985, the Beacon Council is the public-private partnership and official economic development arm for Miami-Dade County. Its focus is on business recruitment, expansion, and retention with a goal to facilitate business growth locally, nationally, and internationally. The Beacon Council collaborates with county officials, education, business, and civic leaders to strengthen and diversify the economy with high-paying jobs.
PRO CHILE
In 2019, GenoSUR was awarded GoGlobal, a ProChile Soft Landing grant at the Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC) in Miami, one of the most prestigious and largest startup ecosystems in the United States. ProChile is Chile’s lead agency to promote exports and contributes to the dissemination of foreign investment opportunities. With a network of over 50 offices worldwide and 15 Export Centers in Chile, the agency helps boost the export sector and position Chile’s resources in international markets. GenoSUR received the grant from ProChile Miami, the country’s Export Promotion Bureau through its trade office in Miami, and the CIC. The Soft Landing Program grant helps foreign companies launch into the U.S. market.
ASELA USA
GenoSUR is a member of the Miami, USA chapter of ASELA, the premier Association for Latin American Entrepreneurs. With over 130,000 members, the organization spans 12 countries, including Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Chile, and Argentina. ASELA supports its members in the Latin American ecosystem with local government collaborations, banking, legal, capital, talent education and accelerator partnerships that enhance business opportunities between Latin America and the United States. The Spanish acronym stands for Asociación de Emprendedores de Latinoamérica.
GREATER MIAMI CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
GenoSUR is an active member of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, a partnership of more than 400,000 business representatives and organizations whose goal is to grow, improve and protect regional businesses through advocacy, education and in convening the community.
CHILE-US CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
GenoSUR is a member of the Chile-US Chamber of Commerce, a non-profit association of companies and individuals focused on promoting trade between Chile and the United States. The organization’s main goal is to serve as a bridge between the two countries and facilitate the commercial exchange of goods, services, projects, and investments, especially between South Florida and Chile.
